Foreign students who want to attend Singapore’s government primary and secondary schools should read this! (Attached is the AEIS application guide)

If foreign students want to study in primary and secondary schools in Singapore, they must apply for the Singapore government's Admissions Exercise for International Students ( AEIS exam .

The 2024 AEIS application period will begin in July , and the AEIS test is expected to begin in September or October this year . International students who successfully pass the exam will be directly enrolled in Singapore government primary schools in January of the following year.

AEIS Examination Process

·  Exam application to take the CEQ exam

·  Take a relevant Cambridge English Qualification  (CEQ) test run by Cambridge Assessment English  (CAE)   . The test must have been taken within 12 months before submitting your AEIS application.

·  At a CAE test center in any country.

When  booking your test, please check whether the results will be released before the AEIS application deadline.

·  Achieve or exceed the required Cambridge English Scale  (CES)  score (listed below) in the CEQ examination before applying to sit the age-appropriate AEIS Primary Mathematics examination

Receive  CEQ test scores.

Before  submitting an AEIS application, candidates must achieve the required Cambridge English Level (CES) score for the CEQ exam. Their CEQ scores must be uploaded during the AEIS application.

If  candidates achieve the required CES score in the CEQ exam, they can apply to sit the corresponding AEIS Mathematics test.

September

Receive  admission ticket.

If  your application is approved and the payment is made successfully, you will receive an email to download the candidate's admission certificate from your personal account on the portal (Candidates Portal) .

·  Go to Singapore to take the AEIS-Primary School Mathematics exam.

December

Publish  the results.

·  Based on the performance of the candidates in the examination, they may be admitted to the school and can also check the results online.

·  Report to school.

·  Successful applicants must report to the schools they are admitted to within the prescribed reporting period. Otherwise, their places may be allocated to other applicants.

January of the following year

·  Start school .

·  Successful applicants will start school in the new academic year.
